Rehabilitation, Protection and Residential Services Division (RPRSD) provides services for the rehabilitation of juvenile delinquents, the protection and welfare of child and families and the residential management of destitute persons. The Clinical and Forensic Psychology Branch provides specialized psychological services to children, youth and families in the areas of abuse and trauma recovery and forensic mental health. If you have an interest in working with children, youth and families with complex emotional needs arising from child abuse/trauma, or have a special interest in working with young/adult offenders and their families, come join a team of dynamic and passionate professionals. You will provide psychological assessment and therapy services, as well as conduct training in relevant areas. Psychologists will have opportunities to work either in an agency-based treatment setting or within a residential setting. There will also be opportunities for research in areas of child abuse and offending behaviour. Continual clinical training and supervision will be provided.
Masters degree in Clinical/Forensic/Applied Psychology. Experience in clinical settings will be an advantage. The candidate should possess effective interpersonal skills, good report writing skills and be able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
